How to Quickly Resolve Industrial Boiler Induction Fan Failures?
Industrial boiler induction fans are critical mechanical devices that extract flue gas from the boiler, maintain negative pressure in the furnace, and facilitate the discharge of flue gas; they play a vital role in industrial boiler systems. During actual operation, induction fans may experience various failures that affect the boiler’s normal operation. Therefore, to ensure the stable operation of the boiler system, we need to diagnose and analyze fan failures and implement appropriate solutions.
We must analyze induced draft fan failures and take effective measures to address them, thereby ensuring the normal operation of industrial boilers. Stable operation is crucial for guaranteeing boiler efficiency and production safety.

I. Common Induced Draft Fan Failures
1. Bearing Overheating: When the bearing temperature exceeds 90°C, the unit must be shut down immediately for inspection to prevent bearing seizure or shaft seizure. Check whether the lubricating oil level, oil quality, and cooling water are normal.
2. Severe Fan Vibration: This is often caused by dust accumulation, wear, or imbalance in the impeller. If vibration exceeds acceptable limits, the boiler should be shut down, the casing manhole door opened, and dust removed from the blades to restore impeller balance; simultaneously, check and tighten the motor anchor bolts.
Fan Vibration: Fan vibration is one of the common malfunctions in boiler fans. Possible causes include bearing damage, impeller imbalance, dust accumulation on the impeller, or insufficient rigidity of the foundation or base. Vibration not only leads to unstable fan operation but may also cause the motor anchor bolts to loosen, further exacerbating the vibration.
3. Severe Drop in Airflow: If airflow drops by more than 20%, this is typically accompanied by ash buildup on the blades or duct blockages; internal debris must be removed.
4. Belt Slippage or Speed Fluctuations: When speed fluctuations exceed 5%, the unit should be shut down to adjust the belt tension or replace worn belts.
